A reader and writer from a young age, I always did well in English class. That prompted me to study English and communication in college.

After graduation, I dove right into teaching because it combines three of my major passions: literature, writing, and people. Throughout my 5 years in the classroom, I learned a lot: writing strategies, annotation, how to connect with students on a personal level, how to listen, the importance of choice, the importance of writing real-life genres, and much more.

However, after 5 years in the classroom, my work-life balance tilted unfavorably toward work. So I decided to step away and pursue writing. I began blogging and started a professional writing career in April 2022 with GetVoIP, where I still happily work today. I continue to learn about SaaS, technology, health, and writing.
